Behind The Plant House 208

Hey, I’m Heather, The Plant House 208 is my heart project, I'm a proud Idaho native, Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and current MSW student working toward horticultural therapy certification. Between grad school, counseling, and life; my grounding place has always been in my garden.

Horticultural therapy is a structured, evidence-based approach that uses purposeful interaction with plants to improve mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Research shows it reduces stress, enhances focus, and fosters resilience, outcomes essential to long-term recovery and wellness (Li et al., 2022; Stigsdotter et al., 2023).
It’s not "just gardening" it’s growth in action.

That belief is the heart of The Plant House 208. Every purchase supports recovery-rooted programs, from plant donations to treatment graduates to veggie start giveaways for those in treatment and/or sober-living homes, all leading toward my goal of creating a community hub where people can heal, learn, and grow together.

When you shop here, you’re not just decorating your space, you’re helping others find growth, too. 🌿
